Impact Estimators

If you’re wondering whether a properly-delivered sales training/performance improvement programme would make financial sense for your business, our Impact Estimator spreadsheets may be of assistance.

These tools are free to download. There are two at the moment: one covers sales training, and one covers Sales-Enabled Product Training (SEPT™ - designed to improve product launches). Once you have entered a few pieces of background information, they will ask you to estimate various improvements that you think could be achieved through an effective programme (i.e. embedded within a change journey). The spreadsheet also looks at likely costs, so that you can estimate ROI as well as profit impact.

Clearly any assumption about performance improvement is just that, an assumption. However, the tools also allow you to do a breakeven analysis. It can be safer and more credible to answer the question “what would I have to believe for this investment to break even?” rather than to estimate what the actual impact would be.
